Our house has 3 bedrooms and is 1500 sq feet. We have a large backyard with a firepit and BBQ that we use in spring and summertime. I am an English professor and I love hosting students. I love introducing my daughters to new people from around the world! We started hosting students in 2015 and have hosted two students from South America, one from Germany, and two from Saudi Arabia. We are interested in hosting other students from different parts of the world and learning your customs. My husband is originally South African and we lived in Australia together for five years. I am from New York and love to travel. Atlanta has been a wonderful city for us to settle down in with our daughters, ages 4 and 1. We love to go for walks, go boating, fishing, or go to the local beach and lakes! Our house is a friendly environment and we hope you enjoy your stay!

We live in Smyrna, a suburb between downtown Atlanta and 30 minutes drive to Atlanta's airport. We are a short drive to many parks and attractions including Marietta Square, Six Flags Theme Park, Georgia Aquarium, the Coca-Cola Museum, and many other things you can explore. From our house, you can walk to the horse farm and fishing lake, and we are also a short drive to the Silver Comet Nature Trail if you like to hike or bike.

Wonderful experience. Emily and Shannon picked me up from the airport my first night even when my flight was delayed by four hours. Emily cooked a nice meal five days per week for me which I enjoyed. They also took my boating on Lake Lanier outside Atlanta and to all the cool sightseeing locations, such as Piedmont Park for the Dogwood Festival. I also got to know their daughter, Hannah, very well. I enjoyed going to the zoo with her and playing with her after work each day. She is the cutest and is a very well behaved toddler. I hope to see Emily, Shannon, and Hannah again soon!
