I'm an attorney, financial planner and business consultant in private practice living in Glendale, Arizona. I also occasionally teach economics, finance and business ethics at the University of Phoenix.
Before that I was an investment banker living in Manhattan.
I have a B.S. in Business & Economics, an M.A. in Economics, and a J.D., which I earned at age 36.
I am a certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
I live alone in a townhome development in Glendale, Arizona -- literally across the street from Phoenix. I have a very friendly five-year old dog named Ivan.
Phoenix is the capital and most populous city in Arizona. With over 1.6 million people, Phoenix is the fifth most populous city nationwide and the most populous state capital in the United States.
The Phoenix metropolitan area, also known as the Valley of the Sun, offers a unique and exciting mix of American, Mexican and Indian peoples, culture and influences.
Arizona is home to the world-renowned Grand Canyon, as well as Saguaro National Park, several national forests and numerous natural scenic venues -- from Mount Lemmon (a "Sky Island") in the south to famous Horseshoe Bend in the north.
Dozens of museums serve the valley, including the Phoenix Art Museum, the Heard Museum (Native American art and history), Arizona Capitol Museum, Arizona Military Museum, Hall of Flame Firefighting Museum, the Pueblo Grande Museum, Children's Museum of Phoenix, and the Arizona Science Center. The Musical Instrument Museum features the largest musical instrument collection in the world.
The Phoenix Zoo has more than 1,300 animals in 95 viewing exhibits. Right next to the zoo, the Phoenix Botanical Gardens are acclaimed worldwide for their exhibits and educational programs, featuring the largest collection of arid plants in the U.S.
Phoenix is the home of professional teams in baseball, basketball, hockey, American football, women's basketball, and soccer.
There are two popular hiking mountains (Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak) as well many nice nature preserves and hiking areas to explore. South Mountain Park, the largest municipal park in the U.S., is also the highest desert mountain preserve in the world. The city, meanwhile. is very flat and bike-friendly (though not all roads are).

I live in Glendale, literally across the street from Phoenix.
I'm only three miles from the Metro Light Rail. There is a nearby bus line that stops there, or you can take a rideshare back and forth.
The light rail will take you to Downtown Phoenix, Sky Harbor Airport, the Phoenix Art Museum & Heard Museum, Chase Field (Diamondbacks) & Talking Stick Resort Arena (Suns), and further on to Tempe, ASU Main Campus, and Mesa.
There is also an extensive network of city buses. The Phoenix Valley is very bicycle-friendly.

I have had a great time with Chris in Phoenix with tours to the impressive Saguaro NP, the weird experience of going from the Desert to the Black Forest within an hours time, to the matte painting of the Grand Canyon and some stand up comedy during the week. I have spent plenty of time biking around town (yes its really hot and not a lot of shade, but its definitely worth doing as you get a great exercise out of it and there are some great bits of raw nature within biking distance) Public transportation is fairly cheap and buses stop literally around the corner. Chris has his schedule and he offered a lot of privacy (spacious room, separate bathroom), we ended up spending most of the downtime together though as we got along really well. Thank you Chris, keep up the good stuff and keep it going.. :)

Chris is an amazing host. Always friendly and in a good mood. He took me from and to the bus station and on a wonderful daytrip to the grand canyon. Even when my car rental adventure did not go through it was not problem to spend another night. Thanks again for everything my stay in Phoenix could not have been better. Also tell Ivan I said hi.

My stay with Christopher was the best! From the moment on when he picked me up from the airport (thanks for that my friend) we connected and enjoyed our time driving home, as we shared the same kind of humour.
Chris is very knowledgeable, and has a whole bunch of interesting and funny travel stories.
He took me to Mount Lemmon, to the Saguaro Desert and the best of all, the Grand Canyon. He is also a very safe driver, I felt supercomfortable with him.
We also watched several sport games together, learned german (or english) together and had some deep, philosophical conversation about almost every topic.
His place is in a perfect location in Phoenix, there is a supermarket just around the corner. It's also a very clean place, and my room was very neat and tidy. See you soon again hopefully!

It was a pleasure to stay with Chris and his dog Ivan! We had a lot of fun. He teached me so much about the American culture. For example we went to the desert, to a standup comedian club, to a concert and we watched funny shows on the television. Ivan is an aweseome dog!
To teach Chris some German and talk about the German culture was really fun! I learned so much in this time. Chris supported me in every situation and gave me enough freetime. Thank you!
