I love to travel and interact with people from other places. I'm especially excited to host people in my home and help them discover all of the amazing things that await them here in St. Petersburg and the greater Tampa Bay Area. We have beautiful beaches, a vibrant downtown area, a thriving community of artists, and so much more here.
I taught English in a high school in Poland for three years as a Peace Corps volunteer and now tutor local refugees in English. I would be delighted to teach you English during your stay at my house and include you in any activities in which I participate that are of interest to you. I especially enjoy gardening, cooking, riding my bicycle, yoga, reading, and listening to music.
I live alone, but sometimes my boyfriend spends the night or sometimes I spend the night at his place. I also sometimes pet-sit so there may be a small or medium-size dog in the house during your stay.

I live in the North Kenwood neighborhood just a little north and west of downtown St. Pete. In sections of my neighborhood that were farms before houses were built, one finds big fruit trees such as avocados, mangos, grapefruits, and oranges. That includes my backyard, which hosts a 40 plus foot avocado tree.
This safe, quiet, working-class neighborhood borders a somewhat industrial area to the north and east. The best amenity in my immediate neighborhood, just a five minute walk away, is Booker Creek Park, which is a great place for a morning or evening walk. A little further away, but also close by, are two hidden gems, little-known by people from outside St. Pete 1) Mazarro’s Italian Market and 2) Jo-El’s Kosher Deli, both of which serve lunch 6 days a week. Depending on your tolerance for the Florida heat in summer and walking through an industrial feeling area, each is only a 10 to 15 minute walk away (or a 5 minute drive). My house is 15 blocks north of the fun and funky shops and eateries along the 2000 block of Central Avenue in the Historic Kenwood neighborhood. There is a kava bar called Bula Cafe that’s a little closer if you enjoy that type of setting. And of course there are many bars and restaurants in downtown St. Pete and several other neighborhoods a 10 to 15 minute drive away. The closest mall is also a 10 to 15 minute drive away.
My house is very conveniently located to I-275, and downtown St. Petersburg. You can drive to the beach from my house in 15 to 20 minutes. beaches. A number of bus stops are located within 2 to 4 blocks of my house, from which one can travel all over the city, including downtown, the beach, and shopping malls.
