My house is at Scarborough and close to the intersection of Midland and Eglinton road. Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School is just opposite of my house. Kennedy Subway (train) station is about 10 minutes walk and the bus stop (bus number 57) is about 2 minutes walk from my house. My house to downtown by train will take about 40 minutes (10 minutes walking + 30 minutes taking train to downtown). Please check on www.ttc.ca for your destination.
There are so many amenities near my house such as Toronto Public library, Post office, Glen Ravine Park, bowling centre, “No Frills” supermarket, Shoppers Drug mart, BMO bank and Scotiabank, Dollarama and Dollar Tree store, Tim Horton coffee shop, KFC and Pizza Pizza shop and other convenient stores. David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute and Centennial College (Warden) are about 1 km and 2 km far from my house respectively. Scarborough centre for alternative studies (SCAS) is also about 1 km far from our house.
We have 2 bedrooms for homestay persons in our basement. Bedroom 1 is 10 x 7.5 ft and bedroom 2 is 11 x 9.3 ft. The rates are CAD 500 and CAD 550 per month respectively. We have a kitchen, common (share) bathroom and (share) toilet in the basement. We allow cooking and hence we provide a microwave oven, a toaster, a plug-in kettle, rice cooker, a stove for cooking, a small oven and a fridge. We also have washing machine and dryer in the basement and it can be used once per week.
We have central heating and cooling system for whole house so that the basement is warm in winter and cold in summer. You can serve internet free Wi-Fi with faster speed as well. The rental price is including breakfast (Eg., cereal with fresh milk). We have 3 members in our family (I, my husband and my daughter (9+ years old). We treat our home-stay people very nicely and friendly.

SMOKING: this is a NON SMOKING home. If you must smoke, please do so outside.
SAFETY: Never open the door to strangers. Make sure you know the person. If you do
not know them, NEVER open the door, no matter what they say or do. Your personal
safety is important to us.
PROBLEMS OR CONCERNS? You can always talk to us, the host family. If there is
ever anything that troubles or concerns you, please do speak to us.

Our family lives in 946 Midland Avenue, Toronto, ON M1K 4G3. Our house is located on the east side of Toronto (Scarborough) and about 10 minutes walk to Kennedy subway station. There is Jean Vanier secondary Catholic school in front of our house. Thomson collegiate Institute, Bendale Business and Technological Institute and Maplewood High School are near our house.Our house is 3 bedroom, detached home in a location close to Kennedy Subway (about 10 min walk). It has a large private backyard and a high efficiency furnace and a central air conditioning unit, a finished 2 bedroom basement unit with a separate entrance, a kitchen, and a 3-piece bathroom. My husband, Andrew, is a Civil Engineer and he is specialized in structural detailing for Condominium construction. I, Khaing Thwe Htun, is also a chemical engineer but currently I am a housewife. Our daughter, Janice Khine, is a grade 3 student at Lord Robert Junior Public School. We are peaceful, helpful and kind family.
